19th Moscow Open Kendo Tournament report


24 May 2008 the 19th Moscow Open Kendo Tournament was carried out in the Dojo on Vadkovskii alleyway. Ladies’ Individual and Team Competitions were conducted during this Tournament.

Ladies’ Individual competitors from Saint-Petersburg:

1. Lozhkina Elena
2. Matsui Kurumi
3. Hatanaka Haruna
4. Matsuoka Yuko

St.-Petersburg Combined Team had been gathered for the first time for the participation in this Tournament. Mentioned team included:

1. Lozhkina Elena
2. Andreev Eugene
3. Korzhov Denis
4. Trofimov Victor
5. Zhukov Konstantin (Taishyou)

Gekken Club Team was combined as well, including:

1. Borichev Alexei
2. Matsui Kurumi
3. Yamamoto Keita
4. Kishkin Dmitri
5. Tsumamoto Masato (Taishyou)

Haruna and Yuko had a possibility to participate the Team Competition due to one more St.-Petersburg Team forming:

1. Senyushkin Vladislav
2. Hatanaka Haruna
3. Matsuoka Yuko
4. Erehinskii Alexander

Ladies’ Individual Competition had been carried out first, where Lozhkina Elena yield to Hatanaka Haruna in a beautiful final combat. Results:

1. Hatanaka Haruna
2. Lozhkina Elena
3. Matsui Kurumi
3. Matsuoka Yuko
Fight Spirit Prize– Kercian Irina (Kazan)

In the final of Team Competition competed two teams, both from Saint-Petersburg: St.-Petersburg Combined Team and Gekken Club Team. As well as during 17th Moscow Open Kendo Tournament winner was clarified itself in the 6th combat. Results:

1. Gekken Club Team
2. St.-Petersburg Combined Team
3. Shogun Club Team -1
3. Team of Moscow-Rostov-Nizhny Novgorod
